The village Lipno nad Vltavou in recent years has become a paradise for year-round relaxing family vacation with children. This tourist resort amid the beautiful Šumava offers an incredibly wide range of leisure facilities in summer and winter, peaceful surroundings and perfect comfort. All services including accommodation and leisure attractions are concentrated in one place, within a radius of a few kilometers. History of the village dates back to the 16th century, the first written mention of the village dates back to 1530. Today the village lying near the dam Lipno dam was formerly located in the river valley. The original settlement belonged to the estate Higher Brod, as well as many surrounding headquarters was among a small timber settlements in which they lived laborers, whose main livelihood was timber floating on the river Vltava.

Lipno, Valley Reservoir Lipno and Lipno Reservoir is an artificial water dam built on the Vltava river in 1952-1959. It is the largest water area in the Czech Republic (which is also thanks justly considered Czech or South Bohemian Sea). Dam is located in Lipno nad Vltavou.

Autumn Lipensko
